Popis
The circular hiking trail leads on easily passable paths, with some gentle inclines, through a varied landscape, past sights, some of which refer to the life and work of St. Francis of Assisi.
In Pitten, this is the Creation Path, a nature path as an oasis of silence and contemplation along the Desbordes stairs to the mountain and rock church and further to the tower museum. In Bad Erlach, it is the St. Anthony's church. St. Anthony of Padua was the first theological teacher of the Franciscans in Assisi. The Klemens Maria Hofbauer Gymnasium in Katzelsdorf was once a Franciscan monastery. The Capuchin or Jakob church was also a Franciscan monastery. The brotherhood invites annually to the Portiuncula festival. Portiuncula: (Latin, "small piece of land") recalls the origin of the "Franciscan movement" in Assisi. The "Glass Way of the Cross" in Linsberg/Bad Erlach invites you to walk with Jesus' last path of life and suffering and recalls his stigmata, which St. Francis of Assisi also received in La Verna. At the recovery, care and residential home Mater Salvatoris in Brunn/Bad Erlach, people are cared for with dignity until the end. Francis also once cared for the sick and lepers.
