Krátký popis

This spiritual-cultural circular pilgrimage trail at the gateway to the Bucklige Welt leads on easy-to-walk paths, with some slight ascents, through a varied landscape, past sights.

Popis

The circular hiking trail leads on easy-to-walk paths, with some slight ascents, through a varied landscape, past sights, some of which refer to the life and work of Saint Francis of Assisi.

In Pitten this is the Creation Path, a nature path as an oasis of silence and contemplation along the Desbordes stairs to the mountain and rock church and on to the tower museum. In Bad Erlach it is the Anthony Church. Saint Anthony of Padua was the first theological teacher of the Franciscans in Assisi. The Klemens Maria Hofbauer Gymnasium in Katzelsdorf was once a Franciscan monastery. The Capuchin or Jakob Church was also a Franciscan monastery. The brotherhood invites every year to the Portiuncula feast. Portiuncula: (Latin, "Little Piece of Earth") recalls the origin of the "Franciscan Movement" in Assisi. The "Glass Way of the Cross" in Linsberg/Bad Erlach invites you to follow the last way of life and suffering of Jesus and recalls his stigmata, which Saint Francis of Assisi also received in La Verna. At the recovery, nursing and residential home Mater Salvatoris in Brunn/Bad Erlach, people are cared for with dignity until the end. Francis also once cared for the sick and lepers.
