Drösing
The market town of Drösing is located on the Morava River on the Slovakian border and has around 1150 inhabitants. The district of Drösing is a typical "Angerdorf", the district of Waltersdorf a "street village".
The proximity of the Morava floodplains results in a peaceful environment worth experiencing with unique flora and fauna. Cycle routes such as the international March Panorama Cycle Path and the Kamp-Thaya-March Cycle Path are an attempt to revitalize the border, which has been "dead" for many decades, with tourism. The cross-border "Willow Festival", which takes place every two years on the Palm Sunday weekend, is a fixture that attracts more and more visitors and enjoys great popularity among young and old with its varied program.
The fortified church of St. Laurentius with its altarpiece by the Kremser Schmidt is worth a visit.
Lively club activity in the municipality offers young and old numerous opportunities for meaningful leisure activities.
