Raabs an der Thaya
Welcome to the pearl of the Thaya Valley - at the gateway to the Thaya Valley/Podyjí Inter-National Park: The municipality of Raabs an der Thaya in the district of Waidhofen an der Thaya lies directly on the border with the Czech Republic. It was once built as a bulwark against the north - at the crossroads of old trade routes. This is where the two Thaya source rivers, the German and Moravian Thaya, meet.
The municipal area includes 33 villages from Alberndorf to Ziernreith. Thanks to numerous excursion destinations and the pristine Waldviertel nature, Raabs is a popular place to visit - for an eventful day or an extended vacation.
