Detaily pro: GARTENRADTOUR- Pappeltour

Krátký popis

The Pappel route is one of the three garden bike routes in the Erlebnisraum Region Tulln. It includes parts of the Danube, Traisen Valley, and Perschling Valley bike paths, with poplars up to 40 meters high lining the way. Most of the route takes cyclists past idyllic river landscapes that invite you to rest.

Popis

Zejména v letních měsících poskytují topoly podél cesty vítané osvěžení a cyklistické odpočívadlo u St. Andräer Steg zve unavené cyklisty k posezení.

Popis trasy GARTENRADTOUR- Pappeltour

We start the route at the guest harbor of the Danube bank in Tulln opposite the ship landing stage and ride along the Danube bike path westward, past GARTEN TULLN. Past Langenschönbichl, the route goes to Zwentendorf on the Danube. At the Altenwörth Danube power plant, we stay on the same Danube bank and take the towpath towards Krems. At the Danube restaurant or at the Marina Traismauer, you leave the Danube bike path and turn onto the Traisen Valley bike path. Gentle hills south of the Danube and impressive poplars along the way accompany us on this section. We leave Traismauer and the ecological showcase areas behind us and cross the Traisen shortly before Herzogenburg, arriving at the bike rest area at St. Andräer Steg. Here we can rest briefly, refill water bottles, and learn about the history of the bridge. At the height of Herzogenburg, we leave the Traisen Valley bike path and turn left onto L110 heading towards Kappelln. After a few kilometers, we turn left again and ride towards Ober- and Unterwinden. Here we take a right along Katzenbergweg. At the intersection, left and then immediately right over a gravel path until you enter Kleine Barockstraße in Hameten. After a short stretch on the federal road and a brief ascent, we reach Sitzenberg-Reidling. Now we pass the castle nursery into Karl Fischer Street, then turn right into Schlossbergstraße. At the town's castle pond, we can rest from the ascent. After about 600 meters, we turn into Kremserstraße. At the main square, left, and then immediately left along Reidlinger Bahnstraße until we reach the railway line. Now right to Trasdorf and over the Atzenbrugg golf course until the path merges into the Perschling Valley bike path. We follow this until we encounter the Danube bike path again. The section back to Tulln is enriched with a variety of garden and tree artworks. The garden experiences conclude with DIE GARTEN TULLN with its ecological show gardens. Then you return to the starting point of the route, the guest harbor at the Danube bank in Tulln.
