Popis trasy Biberbach Krausenöd Chapel Route
The Krausenöd Chapel Route follows the route of the Kromos Chapel Route up to the settlement "Sand": From the starting point at the village square below the church, we follow the L6204 through the village heading east, passing the (8) Peace Cross and the (9) Schöndorf Wayside Cross at the edge of the settlement. At the end of the village, we cross the state road to the farm road "Bichl-Schacher" and go slightly downhill towards the Illmersbach stream. On the left side of the road at the (10) Scherhub Wayside Cross, we cross the stream over a small, overgrown bridge and follow the path straight up and along a row of fruit trees to the (11) Spachl Chapel. Here we cross the road and follow the farm road "Spachl-Hamm" towards the settlement "Sand". At the square farm "Obersand" we turn right and hike to the square farm "Krausenöd". Shortly after the farmstead, we reach the (16) Krausenöd Chapel via a small path on the left – located at the "Galgenhügel" – which invites you to linger and offers a beautiful view of the Ybbstal and the Sonntagberg Basilica. After the descent, the route continues to the road junction, where we pass the (17) Neubauer Chapel Shrine and continue westward to the next junction near the square farm "Linsberg". Here we turn right onto the farm road "Brandhof" and shortly reach the (18) Brandhof Chapel, one of the largest chapels in Biberbach, dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It continues downhill past the "Pimshof" to the settlement "Edlach", where we turn right to the (19) Edlach Chapel. After the next square farm, the route leads left over a paved lane and through the settlement back to the starting point in the village center.
