Krátký popis
The Galgenhügel 381 offers a beautiful view over the Ybbstal, the Sonntagberg, as well as the Mostviertel Alpine foothills on 8.4 km.
Popis
From the town, the path leads northeast past the stormwater retention basin and traditional four-sided farms. It continues over a small stream in a forest and back to the state road L 6204. Crossing this, the route leads east towards Kicking. Uphill southwards, it continues between meadows and fields via Wiesenreith to the hamlet of Sand. From here, you enjoy a wonderful view of Sonntagberg and the dreamy Ybbstal. The path now leads southwest to the Adersdorf junction where paths 381 and 382 separate.
Path 381 leads with a magnificent view over the Mostviertel to the Danube and into the Mühlviertel, continuing on L 6209 past the legendary Galgenhügel to the "Adersdorfer-Chapel." From here, it goes via the Biberbach pilgrim path to Sonntagberg (also marked as Mostviertler circular hiking path no. 454) and further northwest along the forest road "Bichl-Schachen" through the forest. The route then leads downhill and follows the road over a small bridge back to the state road L 6204. Now, the way back to Biberbach is not far.

Tip autora
After the route, we recommend taking a break at the Moststraße inn "Gasthaus Kappl." "Drop in and feel good" is the motto at Gasthaus Kappl, which is known for its unique Wiener schnitzels.
Before or after the route, you can visit the 1.69 km long energy adventure trail. On this circular path, different forms of energy are presented in an educational and experiential way. The Biberbach energy researcher beaver accompanies guests on the colorfully designed information boards. Especially all young visitors are invited to explore the 16 stations of the trail with the help of an energy researcher card (available in all gastronomic establishments). A forest playground invites you to let your energy and urge for movement run free or to take a rest.
