The team at Huskyhof Waldviertel is completely dedicated to dog sledding. In Altnagelberg, they pass on their passion for dog sledding and huskies to interested parties during courses and outings. Experience the power and endurance of these sporty four-legged friends! Before setting off together, you will get to know the sled dogs and receive a detailed introduction to the world of mushers.
Roman Brunner and the team from "Huskyhof Waldviertel" in Altnagelberg are among the top sled dog racers in the Waldviertel. Since 2012, visitors have also had the opportunity to benefit from this success when they visit the Huskyhof and watch musher Roman Brunner at work. The team at Huskyhof-Waldviertel is keen to offer everyone an individual husky experience.

Sled dogs - offers & courses
Husky hike:
An offer that can also be booked in summer! During the hike, each participant is allowed to lead a husky on a lead and learn how to handle the dogs properly. Together you hike through the northern Waldviertel along the Iron Curtain Trail. Duration: approx. 2 hours including instruction.
Day offers:
Two different tours are offered at Huskyhof Waldviertel:
- Short husky ride: around 30 minutes ride on beautiful forest trails, duration: approx. 2 hours with instructions, expert talks and plenty of time to cuddle huskies!
- Long husky ride: around 1 hour ride through the untouched Šumava border region, total duration: approx. 2.5 hours
2-day musher course:
The musher course offers plenty of time with the dogs in addition to the outings. On top of that, you will learn lots of interesting facts about the animals, the sport, the tradition and lots of essential insider information from the professionals.
