Huskyranch Waldviertel

It all began in 1993 when the first husky "Deny" joined the Steindl family. A year later, three more huskies joined their family. That was a long time ago and a few more have joined the family over the years. Huskies whose owners were unable to keep them in a species-appropriate manner were also integrated into the pack. There is the possibility - by appointment - to experience the dogs live and up close in Friedersbach on the "Huskyranch" near the Ottenstein reservoir, to cuddle with them, to take part in hikes or to drive a small team yourself.

Sled dog courses
The Huskyranch offers a wide range of courses all year round: In addition to a taster or day course ("Hike&Ride), special themed tours are also offered, such as the cross-country tour or romantic tour. A great experience is a husky hike ("Chillax"), where each participant is allowed to lead a husky on a belly strap and lead and can feel the power of these animals up close. To the particular delight of younger guests, introductory courses are also organized as part of children's birthday parties. Drive a team yourself or ride in a team and learn how the animals are fed, cared for and trained. Particularly exciting: going out with the sled dog team on moonlit nights!
