Kellergasse Stoitzendorf

Sklepní ulička

Popis

The wine cellar lane in the wine village of Stoitzendorf is unique and worth preserving, more than 1000 meters long and almost completely built up with around 50 cellars with and without press houses, which nestle on both slopes of a wide hollow path.

As a typical Weinviertel wine cellar lane, it has a beautiful walnut tree population , which not only offers a charming ambience for the eye between the crouching cellars, but also provides plenty of shade for visitors.

A replica of a wine cellar lane cross in the middle of the wine cellar lane and the "Hiatahittn" about 500 meters away are further features of the Stoitzendorf wine cellar lane and its surroundings, which particularly reflect the old traditions surrounding viticulture.

A grape variety trail maintained by the winegrowers, which winds its way through the wine cellar lane over a length of 300 meters, currently features 40 varieties - there are 5 vines of each grape variety. The growth, the grapes, the leaves and the wine are described on attractive information boards - guests can taste as much as they like in the fall, when the grapes are ripe.

A number of wine taverns and events help to enliven the wine cellar lane. For cyclists and hikers, the idyllic wine cellar lane is a popular destination and invites you to take a leisurely break.

A competent cellar lane guide brings this local cultural treasure closer and provides interesting facts and traditional information in the form of themed tours. Guided cellar lane tours by appointment!
