Popis
The Leiser Berge Nature Park is located in the heart of the Weinviertel.
It stretches across the municipalities of Asparn/Zaya, Gnadendorf, Ernstbrunn, Ladendorf and Niederleis and is freely accessible at all times. From the highest elevation, the Buschberg (491 m), with the lowest situated Alpine Club hut, you can overlook the diverse landscape with its fields, forests and dry meadows, which have been farmed since the Neolithic Age.
Due to the partly plateau-like character of the forest and heath mountains, the extensive area of the nature park is particularly suitable for easy family hikes.
Well-marked hiking trails or a guided herb hike through the nature park invite you to relax.
On the Oberleiser Berg (457 m), you step onto historical ground - 6000 years of settlement history are made visible in the open-air museum around and in the showroom of the observation tower. From the tower you have a panoramic view of the settlement site and the surrounding area. On a clear day, hikers can see the Carpathian Mountains, Rax, Schneeberg and the Pálava Mountains and even the Ötscher.
The protected natural and cultural landscape is an excursion area with plenty of untouched nature and many entertaining offers.
