Weinbaumuseum Prellenkirchen
Muzeum
Popis
On the sunny southern slopes of the Spitzerberg lies the romantic Prellenkirchen wine cellar lane with rustic stone vaulted cellars dating back to the 18th century. One of these cellars is used as a museum about the history of viticulture from Roman times to the 18th century. It is unique in this area in Austria and provides information about the development of viticulture since Roman times. The characteristics of wine are presented in a wine information center, which is also housed in the museum.
Atmospheric wine cellars are open all year round, offering down-to-earth cuisine and excellent wines (typically the powerful Blaufränker). Three marked hiking trails, signposted with information boards, invite you to enjoy relaxed hiking and cycling.
Guided tours of the cellar lanes, wine museum, carriage rides, guided hikes and wine tasting on request.
